Equipment most commonly originates from German manufacturers (Hamburg, Berlin, Frankfurt) and from suppliers in the Netherlands and Poland. We handle imports to Latvia and exports to other EU countries, in both FTL (full truck) and LTL (consolidated) formats.
Many HVAC units are installed at height: on rooftops or in mechanical rooms with restricted access. That means delivery is not only a transport question -- crane slot, possible street closure, synchronized multi-truck arrival, and securing within manufacturer tilt-angle limits all must be coordinated. When a chiller arrives pre-charged with refrigerant, impact-free transport is mandatory. In one documented case, we coordinated two synchronized FTL trucks delivering to central Riga, with an 80-tonne mobile crane and a street closure permit from Riga City Council.
Standard HVAC document set: CMR, commercial invoice, packing list, EX1 or T1 depending on the route. Oversized shipments require dimensional and weight declarations. For equipment imported from outside the EU: EORI, customs declaration, and technical product sheet. Incoterms in practice: FCA (ex seller's warehouse) and DAP (to consignee's site); DDP when the supplier manages all destination import formalities.
