Frozen Food: 3 Reefer Trucks from Poland and Germany
Latvian retail chains needed frozen food products - fish, vegetables, and ready meals - from Polish and German producers. 3 reefer trucks maintaining -18C to -22C, strict cold chain documentation for food safety audits. We delivered all 3 trucks in 2 days with unbroken cold chain and complete temperature records.
What happened
The retail chains had strict food safety requirements. Any temperature deviation above -18C would mean the entire load must be rejected. Previous supplier had one truck arrive at -15C due to a refrigeration unit malfunction - the entire shipment was destroyed.
What made it difficult
- 1Temperature must stay between -18C and -22C at all times
- 2Loading docks must have cold chain transfer protocols
- 3Collection from 2 countries - Poland and Germany
- 4Complete temperature printout required for retail chain audit
- 5Delivery time slots at retail distribution centers are strict
How we handled it
We used only trucks with dual-compressor reefer units (redundant cooling) and verified calibration certificates before dispatch. Temperature was set to -20C with real-time GPS+temperature monitoring accessible to the client. Loading was supervised to ensure dock-to-dock cold chain continuity. All 3 trucks arrived with temperature records showing -19C to -21C throughout transit.
