Industrial Batteries (ADR): 2 Trucks from Benelux to Latvia
A Latvian industrial equipment supplier ordered lithium-ion battery packs from manufacturers in Belgium and Netherlands. ADR Class 9 cargo - requiring certified vehicles, trained drivers, and compliant packaging. We delivered 2 full trucks with zero incidents and full regulatory compliance.
What happened
The client needed lithium-ion batteries for their energy storage systems. These are ADR Class 9 dangerous goods with strict transport regulations. The previous carrier had a shipment rejected at the German border due to incorrect labeling.
What made it difficult
- 1ADR Class 9 classification - certified vehicle and driver required
- 2Specific UN-approved packaging and labeling standards
- 3Collection from 2 countries (Belgium + Netherlands)
- 4Transport documentation: ADR consignment note, MSDS, emergency procedures
How we handled it
We assigned ADR-certified trucks with drivers holding valid ADR certificates for Class 9. Packaging was verified against UN standards before loading. All documentation - ADR transport document, material safety data sheets, and emergency instruction cards - was prepared and checked by our hazmat specialist. Border crossings were pre-notified.
