ADR Chemical Raw Materials: Germany to Latvia

Germany → Latvia|3 days|1 ADR truck

A Latvian chemical manufacturer needed raw materials from a German supplier - Class 3 flammable liquids in IBCs. The shipment required a fully ADR-compliant truck, a certified driver, complete hazmat documentation, and pre-notification at border crossings. We organized everything within 48 hours of the request.

What happened

The production line was running low on a critical chemical component. Without timely delivery, the factory would halt within a week. The cargo - 12 IBCs of flammable liquid - falls under ADR Class 3, requiring specialized handling at every stage.

What made it difficult

  • 1ADR Class 3 flammable liquids - strict vehicle and driver requirements
  • 212 IBC containers requiring specific securing and segregation
  • 3Emergency response plan and hazard placarding for the entire route
  • 4Border crossing pre-notification mandatory for hazmat loads

How we handled it

We assigned an ADR-equipped truck with an EX/II-rated body and a driver certified for Class 3. Our hazmat specialist prepared the ADR transport document, emergency instruction cards, and MSDS package. The truck was inspected before loading. Border authorities in Poland and Latvia were pre-notified. Delivery completed in 3 days without incidents.
